2010 (15 songs, total running time 67:37) A committee of Jones’ most ardent and knowledgeable supporters hand selected each piece here from discs released 1991-2006. The disc was made possible by the generous gift of Minot Davis, whose “sense of inevitability about JP”s music” led him to conceive of and cause to be produced a compilation project. 2006 (11 songs, total running time 57:56) Ten months in the making, Magical Thinking features songs written in three different decades and (after two solo acoustic releases) eclectic, fully produced musical landscapes. Jones tackles jazz, folk and blues, leads with the Springsteen-esque anthem A Man Stands Up and closes with a 14:54 story song: The Fire and The Rose.
